Welcome! I'm Dayeon Eom, a Ph.D. candidate in Life Sciences Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My research examines the social dimensions of emerging technologies across three areas: public opinion and governance of artificial intelligence, credibility and trust in science communication, and the role of digital media in health information and community engagement. Drawing on both quantitative and qualitative methods, my work integrates communication theory with empirical inquiry to inform policy and public understanding of science and technology. Prior to academia, I worked as a journalist, an experience that continues to shape my attention to stakeholder dynamics, equity, and translating research for broader impact. This site showcases my research, publications, and teaching. Thanks for visiting!
